The steps toward adopting a dog or cat....
All of these animals have had a rough start, so we need to ensure that they are going to go to good, understanding forever homes. Upon meeting with us and choosing which friend you would like to adopt, we will do a home check. This consists of ensuring your yard is securely fenced in. Shelter is provided, whether it be in your home or a dog house outside. We prefer the dogs to have a companion, especially if they are going to be outside dogs. Our dogs are not to be chained up, a kennel is fine as long as they won't be spending all their time confined to a small space. Heart worm preventative, worming and tick control will need to be on going, this can be expensive so you need to be able to provide this. If for some reason you cannot keep your new friend, we will come and collect them.
They are to be returned to us, not passed on to anyone else, although you can recommend someone and the above steps will be repeated. In return, you will be receiving a totally healthy, spayed or neutered, house trained, kid friendly companion. If you need any advice or help, we are only a phone call away.
